Our RAID 2022 Wrapped 🎁

GREETINGS & SALUTATIONS / Wishing a very merry holiday season to our global RAID family that's filled with delectable snacks, connecting with loved ones, and of course, getting the chance to go through your to-read pile of books.

December is always a season of reflection and delicious goodies (such as our recent Waffle Wednesday) as thoughts of the past year dance in our heads. The year has been full of hard work, proper shenanigans, and laughter — especially of late as we overhear the emotional rollercoaster of our fellow studio-mates as they watch live World Cup coverage. (Our congrats to Argentina for their big win this past weekend!)

We also can't believe we've cusping the year's end - especially one marking our studio's 20th anniversary! To commemorate the occasion, we've taken a punch-drunk little ditty written and sung (to the tune "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues) by our very own Rob Coughler and synced up some snapshots of years past. It in no way encapsulates our two-decades worth of experiences, but it gets us teary-eyed regardless...

2022 Recap / Pardon us as we get slightly nostalgic over here, but 2022 was a crazy year of being back to in-person conventions, launching Kickstarters, escaping on RAID Retreats, holding gallery exhibits, and shipping our books on a global scale! We're so proud of how far we've come in the past year and have learned many valuable lessons — which will come in handy as we hit the ground running in 2023!

A BIG THANK YOU to all the wonderful backers on our 2023 Kickstarter Campaigns! You came out in droves with your support - and truly showed us what was possible with such a great community of people. 

While our global family has grown, so has our little in-house one, with new faces bringing exciting new voices. We are thrilled about the adventures on the horizon, and hope you'll continue to join us on our ride - cause, in reality, we couldn't have made it this far without you.

In the meantime, let's point to the stars and set our goals...

2023 SPOTLIGHT / We've got lots slated for the 2023 season over here... and we figured the best holiday gift we could give you is just a peek at what you might expect: 

As part of Kickstarter's annual "MAKE 100" campaign this coming January, we're teaming up with Pegamoose Press, Lethal Comics, and Derek Laufman, to bring you a collectible trading card set promoting the works and stories of over two-dozen creators! Our Pre-launch page is up - and if you sign up and become a physical backer during the campaign, you'll snag a rainbow foil chase card! 

We'll be making more official announcements in the coming months — but thought we'd share a little tease regarding some our other 2023 projects. The first one we've mentioned already, and you can get on board HERE, but can you guess the rest?

MYSTERY BOX  / Our Monthly Contest Concludes!

All year we've been collecting the names of the participants of our monthly skill-testing questions who submitted the correct answer but weren't the first to respond. 

All these entrants who submitted by 3 pm EST on the day a newsletter dropped were entered into a year-end draw.
